You are often late or struggle with punctuality

You casually call out of work or are looking for a role where reliability is optional

You dislike being outdoors in heat, cold, or rain

You are uncomfortable driving between clients’ homes

You mind getting dirty

You prefer a low-responsibility role

You do not enjoy following detailed instructions

You are not comfortable working independently

You are looking to casually spend time with dogs without the professionalism and accountability that quality pet care requires

ROOM TO GROW WITH US

Dog Gone Walking is building a thoughtful, professional team that supports excellent pet care, clear communication, and smooth day-to-day operations.

Our primary hiring need is for reliable, compassionate team members who can provide hands-on pet care with our clients and their pets. For the right people, there may also be opportunities to grow into leadership, playgroup supervision, operations coordination, hiring support, assistant management, and marketing responsibilities.

We are especially interested in people who bring reliability, sound judgment, emotional maturity, clear communication, attention to detail, and pride in doing things the right way.

Team Lead/Service Leadership

Team Leads are trusted leaders who help model DGW standards with our clients, pets, and team in the homes and neighborhoods we serve. They support smooth daily service, communicate clearly with managers, clients, and team members, assist newer team members, and may help with playgroups, client details, daily operations support, and urgent coverage when needed.

Operations Coordinator / Assistant Operations Manager

This is a hands-on operations and leadership path for someone who enjoys both pet care and people coordination. This person helps keep Dog Gone Walking’s day-to-day operations running smoothly — supporting schedules, team communication, client care, daily problem-solving, hiring support, hands-on service, and the systems that make safe, consistent pet care possible. For the right fit, this path may include leadership development, mentorship, professional certifications, and increased responsibility over time.

Social Media / Content Support

Help capture and share the heart of Dog Gone Walking through photos, videos, stories, and thoughtful content that reflects our pets, our team, and the care we provide every day. This role may include some hands-on pet care or team coordination, depending on the person and the need.

PLAYGROUP OPPORTUNITIES

For team members who are interested, qualified, and comfortable with group dog dynamics, there may be opportunities to support dog playgroups.
This may include picking dogs up from their homes, transporting a dog in your personal vehicle, and bringing them to and from our private yard for a safe, structured, and fun group experience.
Playgroup participation is optional and based on fit, comfort level, qualifications, and business needs.

OTHER OPPORTUNITIES

Our primary hiring focus is midday dog walking.
At times, there may also be opportunities for additional pet care work, such as vacation visits, cat care, evenings, weekends, or select overnight assignments. These are secondary to our main dog walking need and may vary based on business needs.

Think You’d Be a Great Fit?

If you’re honest, reliable, active, and excited about meaningful work with pets, people, and a professional team, we’d love to hear from you.
